The question of why I opened Travelling Home Recovery Centre??
Testimony of Kaylen Moonsamy(Founder & Owner of Travelling Home Rehabilitation Centre);
All my life all I ever wanted was a real purpose, a life I could be proud of. As a youngster I found much happiness in being useful to others. This gave me a drive & ambition to reach my full potential in being helpful to those in need. I had this burning desire to help but I knew not how.
Somewhere along the journey of life, my innocence was taken away when I experienced loss of loved ones, heartache, disappointment, sadness, sorrow, failure, setbacks etc. I knew nothing about the sins of the world, as I was brought up with the utmost love by my mother. Through all of the above I stumbled across many different mind altering substances, which gave me an opportunity to not feel all those emotions. An escape from reality, A reality I knew nothing about handling.
Within a short space of time I found that the very same thing which allowed me to not feel or go through the emotions that came from the tragedies of life was the very same thing destroying me from the inside out.
My dependence on mind altering substance had become my master, and one would say I was living only to indulge in substance. I’d lost many great life changing opportunities, I lost my family, I lost good friends, I lost many jobs, but over and above all my most significant loss was the day I looked in the mirror and I knew not who I was anymore. One would think that after bumping one’s head it would change the way the individual would see things, however it was a good couple of years of continuously bumping my head, I had gone so far down the scale, mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially that my life had amounted to absolutely nothing.
Upon being booked into a recovery centre, I knew deep down in my heart where my journey had led me to, and I knew there were many others that were going through the exact same thing, some worse and others not yet there. But I knew that my purpose was to help the next person up even though at that time I needed help myself. Thanks to my complete surrender that within no time I was already helping others in the rehab centre while I was still a patient. This strengthened me day in and day out. And through my time in treatment I knew that is where my heart was. I was to go on and give hope to those who were once hopeless as I was. I was to not only help people get clean but show them a new way to live, show them their true potential, and show them that they too are worthy of a life beyond their wildest dreams.
2 years + later the birth of Travelling Home Recovery Centre Took Place & I Have Dedicated My Life To The Still Suffering Addicts. I am not here to provide a service, I am not here to compete in the industry, I am here to elevate recovery to a level it’s never been to before. I am going to redefine the word rehabilitation, one life at a time because I’ve dedicated my life to doing God’s work & I will do it to the best of my ability.
To those still affected by addiction, you are not alone, I am here for you, if you are hopeless let me show you the light, nobody loves you? I love you! Nobody understands what you’re going through? Try me!
Let me show you how to live life beyond your wildest dreams, let’s do it together and continue to save souls from the devious grips of addiction.
Thank you to everybody who has supported me along this journey & a special thank you to my mother Prenita Moonsamy who never gave up on me.
